Since I've been confined to the house lately, I've been taking a second look at some of last years images. Here is one from day with flat light and rain. The image lacks punch and interest:
The columns themselves, the rows, and the reflections have some interest. Since color was so minimal, I used NIK Silver Efex and the pinhole setting to achieve a result that is much more satisfying:
Now the reflections are much more prominent; the details on the pillars stand out; and the dark edges focus more attention on the center.
