I'm continuing to look at previous images and converting them to black and white.  Here is an example of one taken in Huntingdon Gardens back in 2015.  The original color version is:

The spines and the structure of these cacti please my eye; line, orderliness.  To emphasize those things I like, the image was covered to black and white using only Photoshop, no plug-ins.  The image was opened as an object.  The Black and White filter was applied as a smart filter.  Finally a curve was applied.

Could be considered abstract!
